A little about us
Sister-in-laws. Not the answer people expect when they are asking about our flower adventure and how we know each other. We can see the eyebrows perk up and the intrigue in their voice. Yes, we know going into business with family is risky because you don’t want to damage the relationship, which is why the number one rule we have is that family comes first.
Our first flower season is literally around the corner, and we have already learned so much more about each other in the last nine years, so we thought it would be fun to share a little more about us with our flower friend community through a quick, light-hearted Q&A.

I have been married to Brian for almost 13 years. We have 3 daughters. Elsie 9, Callie 6, Georgia 3.
What do you enjoy doing with your family?
Summer boating on the river. Boating on the river with my family has created so many amazing memories. All the distractions of home life are gone, and we can simply relax and just have fun while playing in the water.

Cosmos. They germinate quickly and bloom all summer long.

Spring: Ranunculus. They are the rose of spring.

Fall: Dahlias. There are so many different forms, sizes, shapes, and colors!
Name a funny trait of Kasia - She likes to make a blowing whistle sound when planting seeds. You know she is focused once she starts whistling.
What strengths does Kasia bring to the team?
Kasia is visionary and has so many creative ideas when it comes to flowers. She is the research queen when it comes to looking up and understanding each type of flower and all their specific needs. Kasia is also much more tech savvy than I will ever be.

Andy and I have been married for seven years, and we have a 10-month-old boy, Rory, who likes exploring anything he can crawl to and stand up to reach.
What do you enjoy doing most with your family?
Andy and I enjoy traveling and skiing together, and we hope to continue that with Rory. I would say that Rory currently loves to go on hikes, but as soon as we put him in the pack and start walking, he falls asleep.

What is the first flower you started from seed?
Zinnias and marigolds. I wanted color in my vegetable garden, but each year I've added more flowers and less vegetables, haha.
What flowers are you most excited for this season?
Spring: Anemones. They seem delicate, but they are strong and elegant (and last long in a vase).
Summer: Celosia and Bunny Tails. They will be fun fillers.
Fall: Honestly, I’m excited for pumpkins, specifically the “One Too Many” variety from Floret.
Name a funny trait of Kelly— She is very organized. She even organizes her salad when she eats and picks through it.
What strengths does Kelly bring to the team?
Kelly is an organized go-getter. She can reign in ideas to a practical step by step manageable process. She is an encourager and looks for the good instead of worrying about the what ifs. I especially appreciate that she doesn’t dwell on mistakes we make or get caught in the “we should have done this...” downward mental spiral. There are going to be so many mistakes we will continue to make, so her ability to take note and press forward helps me get back on track.
We hope to see you soon! Spring is here and flowers are coming.
